Athletics
To achieve a Sound Body is the goal of SigEps across this nation as well as here at LSU.
By participating in Intramural and Greek athletics, we try to achieve that goal through sportsmanship and a winning attitude while also competing at the highest level.
SigEp participates in the following intramural sports:
Basketball
Flag Football
Soccer
Softball
Raquetball
Table Tennis
The men from SigEp are currently displaying their talent and willingness to win in Intramural sports. Throughout its history, Louisiana Beta has achieved much success from its athletics program, with its most recent accomplishments in soccer, basketball, and softball. An individual standout, Christopher Rumore ('11), was awarded 'Athlete of the Year' at the 2010 Order of Omega Greek Awards held this past April. Several brothers have even stepped up to a higher playing field by joining one of LSU's club level sports teams.
Athletics have also become a good way for these men to develop a sense of Brotherhood among members of the chapter. Along with intramural sports, the brothers of SigEp can usually be found playing a round of golf or putting together a pickup game of soccer, baseball and other sports on their own free time. SigEp also fields a team for every single sorority's philanthropy, supporting their charitable efforts. All of these pursuits help to contribute to the Sound Body that we all strive for as Balanced Men.
